I have enjoyed this site, especially looking at the pics of streets I used to frequent growing up there. Some I didn't recognize, a lot that I did and was glad to see they remain basically unchanged. My friend Maureen lived near the viaduct on Spring St. I lived not too far away, on Fuchsia Lane, and another friend lived over Lloyds Bank on the Cornhill. Mannings and the Cock and Pye are still going strong, by the looks of things and I assume M&S is Marks and Sparks. I watched the remaking of the dock area on the Evening Star webcam. My dad and us kids walked there nearly every Sunday so our mother could get the roast and Yorkshire going. We went through Holywells park. I loved that Gainsborough painting and would love to have a copy. I am going to enjoy the rest of your site now. Thank you so much for all the work you have put into it, and by the way, Malcolm Doyle is my cousin - a lovely man.
